PACE members want to discuss Russia-Ukraine gas row in April

MOSCOW, February 6 (RIA Novosti) - Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) have proposed discussing the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine gas row at a session in April, an official said Friday.

Russia cut off gas supplies to Ukraine on January 1 after failing to agree on debt and prices for 2009 in late December and later halted gas deliveries to Europe, saying Ukraine was stealing transit gas. Kiev denied the accusation. Transit resumed January 20.
