On September 19, 2013, the State Registration Chamber introduced changes to the list of documents required for issuing invitations for entry into Russia and visas for employees of branch offices and representatives offices for foreign companies. The relevant information is published on the State Registration Chamber’s website.
It is suggested that in addition to main documents previously required for issuing entry invitations, employees will have to present notarized copies of documents confirming their registration with Federal Tax Service, Pension Fund, Social Insurance Fund, and Federal Medical Insurance Fund.
In cases of issuing/extending a work visa in addition to main documents, including notification of migration registration, applicants must present documents confirming address of their residence. These documents may include: notarized copy of certificate of ownership, rent contract, written consent of the apartment’s owner and everyone residing in it, etc.
