Agreement On Temporary Employment Between Russia And Vietnam Ratified

The Russian President signed Federal Law #290-ФЗ from November 2, 2013, “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the Temporary Employment of Russian Federation Citizens in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Russian Federation”.

The Agreement was negotiated in Moscow on October 27, 2008, with the purpose of regulating labor migration, and bringing its volume, direction and content in accordance with interests of social and economic development of Russia and Vietnam. It will create favorable conditions for labor migration on the territory of both countries.

Under the agreement’s terms, citizens of one country can work in the other country provided they have a work permit issued in accordance with the host country’s laws. Foreign employees may only conduct paid labor prescribed by the received work permit.
