Fortune magazine included Russian astronaut Mikhail Kornienko in the “greatest leaders” list

Russain astronaut Mikhail Kornienko along with his American colleague have taken the 22nd place in the list of World’s Greatest Leaders form authoritative American magazine Fortune. Top positions in the rating were given to the head of Amazon Jeff Bezos, the leader of Burman opposition Aun San Su Chzhi and the Pope Fransic.

Ratings of Furtune Business magazine have long ago been considered as an original quality mark and acknowledgment for companies and businessmen all over the world. However, authoritative edition notes merits not only in the world of profits and investments. Third year in a row Furtune presents their rating World's Greatest Leaders to their readers.

«In the spheres of business, politics, charity and art these men and women change the world and inspire the others», - says a publication in the magazine.

This year in the rating was included Russian astronaut Mikhail Kornienko, who along with his American colleague Scott Kelly has taken the 22nd place. Fortune compares partnership of Kornienko and Kelly with the famous encounter of the astronaut Thomas Stafford and the soviet astronaut Aleksey Leonov on the Earth orbit in 1975.

Four decades after, American astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian astronaut Mikhail Kornienko not only repeated this goodwill gesture, but raised it to a rank of the highest diplomacy», - so was defined the teamwork of Kornienko and Kelly by the edition.

Mikhail Kornienko and Scott Kelly returned to the Earth from ISS the 2nd of March and became the first ones who had worked on the station almost a year without a break. Apart from working on important scientific experiments, the crew were very active in social networks, gladly communicated with journalists and fans. Kornienko in one of his videos told the readers of RT in Russian how the sunset looks from the Space.

The crew commander of ISS astronaut of NASA Scott Kelly repeatedly mentioned, that he considers Mikhail Kornienko close friend and he political situation in the world doesn’t affect their work.

«It’s important for us here to be the whole team. All of us are wonderful friends, we rely on each other, and if something happens to me, I know the others will take care of me, as I will of the others. The political situation doesn’t affect our relationship at all», - said Kelly.
