On March the 10th in Naberezhnye Chelny was started a building activity of a joint factory in cabin production (carcasses production and painting) by Kamaz and Daimler companies.
On Wednesday general manager of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin together with member of the board of Daimler Wolfgang Bernhard and management of "DK RUS" visited a construction site of a new "DK RUS" cabin factory on the territory of Kamaz, as well as assembly line of Kamaz cabins.
"Creating of a JV in cabin production with Daimler will become a regular step in extension of cooperation with a German trust. Kamaz is executing a State Corporation Rostech strategy of attracting "clever" stock, that will allow to get access to new markets and provide additional financing", - said general manager of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin.
Strategic partnership between Daimler and Kamaz has been existing since 2008 and during this time has transformed into intensive cooperation with mass of joint successful projects.
Kamaz – a first-rate Russian manufacturer of trucks. It includes more than 150 activities located in Russia, CIS and far-abroad countries, among them 12 major automotive manufactories. It has assembly facilities in Vietnam, Itan, India, Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
