The government has reduced the living wage at the end of the third quarter. Its value amounted to 9, 889 rubles per caput, that is 67 rubles less according to the previous quarter.
Prime minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution of determination of living wage value countrywide for the third quarter of current year. A corresponding document is published on the official legal information website.
According to the resolution, for the third quarter of 2016 living wage is set on the point of 9, 889 rubles per caput, that is 67 rubles less according to the previous quarter. For the working-age population the amount of living wage is set on the level of 10, 678 rubles, for retirees – 8,136 rubles, for children – 9, 668 rubles, said in the document.
At the end of the second quarter of the current year living wage countrywide in Russia amounted to 9,956 rubles, for working-age population – 10,772 rubles, for retirees – 8, 163 rubles, for children – 9, 861 rubles. For the first quarter of 2016 living wage per caput amounted to 9, 776 rubles.
The value of a living wage countrywide and for the regions is determined every quarter on the basis of the consumer basket. From 2000 the value of a living wage is determined averagely per caput, and also for 3 social-demographic groups (working-age population, retirees, children) and is regulated by the government.
The consumer basket includes the minimum set of food, also nonfood items and services, the cost of which is determined in relation to the cost of a minimal set of food, necessary for keeping person´s health and providing for the vital needs.
