The quarter of the population of Russia called the economic crisis in the country the main event of the year, is reported in the research of «Romir» holding. Along with the ones, who considered inflation as the main happening, their share amounted to 42%. For comparison: last year only 9% of respondents talked about economic events (crisis plus devaluation). Evaluating world events of expiring year, the Russians primarily called President Elections in the USA — this event was chosen by 36%. Like last year, fighting against the Islamic State (outlawed in Russia) the citizens consider an important global event. Last year such response gave 42% of respondents, in 2016 this share reduced to 30%. On December, 23 during the daily press conference Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, that in 2017 Russian economy is expected to have a slight fall about 0,5-0,6%.
