Four killed in fire in central Russia

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - Four people have been killed in a fire in a residential building in central Russia's Penza Region, a local emergencies spokesman said on Tuesday.

A man, his daughter and her husband, as well as their neighbor, were killed in a fire that broke out in a village in the region's Mokshansky district on Monday, the source said.

The victims are believed to have been drinking before the fire began. An investigation is underway.
