Russian auditors to arrive in Cuba for debt payment checks

HAVANA, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - A delegation from Russia's Audit Chamber led by its head Sergei Stepashin will visit Havana to monitor Cuba's debt payment to Russia, an aide to the Russian ambassador to Cuba said on Wednesday.

"The primary goal of the visit by the Russian Audit Chamber is to monitor Cuba's loan commitments," Alexander Moiseyev said.

The diplomat added that "this will be a useful visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in auditing."
