MOSCOW, March 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's
Stroytransgaz has started construction work on the
Taweelah-Fujairah gas pipeline in the United Arab Emirates, the
company said on Thursday.
Stroytransgaz, one of Russia's largest engineering and
construction companies, signed a contract to construct the
240-km (150-mile) gas pipeline with the Abu Dhabi-based Dolphin
Energy Ltd. in July, 2008.
The gas pipeline will run right across the UAE to link gas
receiving facilities at Taweelah on the Persian Gulf with a
water treatment plant in Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman.
