MOSCOW, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Defense
Ministry officials smuggled 30 anti-submarine missiles and 200
aviation bombs via Tajikistan to China under the guise of
nonferrous metal deliveries, a source in law enforcement
agencies said on Friday.
"According to investigators, all the munitions were
transported by train and registered as nonferrous metals," the
source said.
Russia's chief military prosecutor, Sergei Fridinsky, said
last month that a criminal case had been opened and an
investigation was ongoing. He said the smugglers included a
number of businessmen.
