BRUSSELS, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - EU foreign
ministers will discuss on Monday the recent gas row between
Moscow and Kiev and the consequences for Europe's energy
security, a representative of the Czech Republic which holds
the EU presidency said.
The meeting of foreign ministers from the European Union
27-member body will also focus on the Palestinian-Israeli
conflict, the decision by new U.S. President Barack Obama to
close down the controversial Guantanamo detention center, and
the possibility of the EU granting asylum to those being held
at the U.S. camp.
As part of the EU Council for External Affairs, a meeting
of the EU Troika will be held on Tuesday to discuss prospects
for developing political dialogue between the EU and Belarus.
