Suspects in murder of ex-MP Yamadayev detained in Moscow

MOSCOW, April 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russian police have detained several people suspected of committing a series of high-profile crimes, including the murder of former State Duma deputy Ruslan Yamadayev, investigators said on Wednesday.

On September 24, 2008, Ruslan was driving his Mercedes car in downtown Moscow when he was attacked by unknown gunmen at 5:20 pm Moscow time (13:20 GMT). The attackers shot into his vehicle and then fled the scene in an Audi 80 car.
