NOVO-OGARYOVO, June 8 (RIA Novosti) - The government
commission for foreign investment has approved the sale of a
stake in Russia's largest gold miner, Polyus Gold, to Russian
billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, the Federal Antimonopoly Service
said on Monday.
According to official information, Russian billionaire
Mikhail Prokhorov, owner of investment vehicle Onexim Group,
and his former business partner Vladimir Potanin who heads the
Interros holding company, hold 30% each in Polyus Gold.
According to unofficial information, Nafta-Moskva
investment group owned by Kerimov has consolidated 37% in
Polyus Gold by purchasing Potanin's stake.
