Kazakhstan Residency Certificates

According to the Letter # ЕД-4-2/11054 of the Federal Tax Service from June 9, 2014, tax agencies have been ordered to accept Kazakhstan residency certificates only with an attached Apostille.

This decision of the Ministry of Finance is based on rules of reciprocity due to Kazakhstan tax authorities refusing to accept Russian residency certificates without an Apostille. It is expected that issues for settlement of differences will be discussed at the next regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.
