According to Rostat data, that the administration appeals to, during 9 months from the beginning of 2015 our country was visited by more than 20 million people from abroad, that is 8% more comparing with the same period in 2014.
China is on the first place of the top-ten countries, the citizens of which more often than others this year stated “tourism” as a purpose of visiting Russia – in 2015 – 583 thousand people. Also, among the top three in this rate like in 2014, are Germany and the USA (319 and 153 thousand respectively). Then go Turkey, Israel, the UK, Republic of Korea, Italy, Spain and France”, - specified in Rostourism.
Such interest to our country has several reasons. “Firstly, everything costs much cheaper, then, for example, in Europe. It’s profitable to make purchases here, transport fares are cheaper, the same comes to dining in restaurants, staying in the hotels… all these factors are bound to effect. Secondly, tourists from South-East Asia, thanks to whom an upgrowth has taken place, have lately started travelling more around the world. Russia is convenient for them even geographically.
Thus, quite a favorable conjuncture has formed for entrance tourism, and we have to use this chance to pull up the sphere of tourism in the country”, - convinced a vise-president of Russian Tourism Industry Union.
