“GazpromNeft – Orenburg” (subcompany of Gazprom Neft) has discovered a new deposit at the area of Sorochinsk, Orenburg region – Novosamarskoe. Mineral resources amount to more than 8 million tons, is said in the company’s press-release.
“GazpromNeft” is planning to obtain a license for oil production at Novosamarskoe deposit in the first quarter of 2017. Related request is already sent to “Rosnedra”.
It is mentioned, that Novosamarskoe deposit was discovered as a result of drilling a prospecting and appraisal well, where during testing appeared fountain oil inflows. At the moment, there is a prepared conceptual project for geology and field development, and is found economically efficient variant of hydrocarbon production.
“Discovery of Novosamarskoe deposit proves our hypothesis about the presence of several hydrocarbon deposits at a licensed area of Uransk. As early as 2017 under the trial operation at Novosamarskoe oil deposit are planned for drilling 2 development wells”, - said the Head of Department of geological exploration at “Gazprom Neft” Vadim Shashel.
“Gazprom Neft” is an oil VIC, the main activities of which are exploration and development of oil and gas, oil refinery, and manufacturing and marketing of oil products.
